This is the Maybelline Clean Express Miracle Water review, which is basically a type of cleansing water/makeup remover.
Description: Makeup removing micellar water that claims to have the effect of a toner and refresh the skin. Available in a 120ml screw cap bottle. Foams up when shaken or agitated.
Where to buy: Drugstores, supermarket; most places that carry the Maybelline makeup booth.
Price: MYR 19.90 and as usual, subject to promotions and sales!
A small test;
Very light on the skin.
Doesn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable on the skin.
Gets the job done.
Haven’t had any unwanted reactions to it.
Doesn’t have a bad taste (read my Biore review here, you’ll know why this is important to me).
It does cost a little bit more than my Biore cleansing water (ml for ringgit) and isn’t as effective (being ineffective isn’t a con because it is mentioned on the packaging it can be used to remove “light makeup”). Since it isn’t as effective, I seem to use more product to get makeup off than the Biore.
Pump absent; a cleansing water can easily come with a pump unlike a dual layer makeup remover (a dual layer makeup remover needs to be shaken and poured out and only then will the two layers mix).
Since pump absent, wastage tends to occur sometimes.
The product itself isn’t the problem although my Biore Cleansing Water does work better. Cost and packaging kind of points me back to the Biore instead of this one. Unless of course one wants to use it as a toner.
