Coming at you with another positive review (such a YouTuber thing to say isn’t it?). This isn’t the first cleansing water that Maybelline has put out and I have reviewed the previous one (link here). Moving on…
Description: Micellar cleansing water that comes in a 200ml squeeze bottle with a screw cap. Foams up when shaken or agitated.
Where to buy: Most drugstores and supermarkets (wherever there’s a Maybelline counter basically).
Price: MYR 24.90 (drugstore product, would be stupid to pay full price! 😛 )
A small test
Pros:
Light on the skin.
No sticky feeling afterwards.
Pretty effective at removing makeup; definitely one of the better ones I’ve tried.
Doesn’t irritate my eyes one bit.
Although slightly bitter, it isn’t as bad as the Biore one (review link here).
Cons:
Does have a bitter taste.
No pump so product tends to get a little bit wasted.
Rating:
8.7/10
Highest rating for a cleansing water so far. It is my current fave! It has two advantage over the Biore one; it isn’t as bitter and it doesn’t irritate my eyes (which started happening with the Biore one the more I used; the review has been updated).
Haven’t spotted any maybelline micellar waters here will be keeping my eyes peeled next time I’m in boots!

Owh, do look out for them! But have you noticed, Maybelline in Asian countries carry products that are so different than Maybelline in America and Europe.

Impressive! I don’t use micellar water on my lips but it’s good to know it tastes terrible! This isn’t available here yet – I do wonder if they will bring it here.

Agreed, I typically use some kinda oil or my Body Shop cleansing butter to remove lip product. Well if they bring it to Canada it is surely worth a shot!

Great review! Are either the mascara or eyeliner waterproof? I always wear waterproof for both, so it can be hard for me to get them off with a lot of makeup removers.

The mascara is a waterproof formula but it is an easy to remove formula. I do believe cleansing waters are not efficient at removing good waterproof mascaras. I’d suggest sticking to an oil based remover or whatever else that works for you…

Nothing works as well as oils for getting off those tough waterproof mascaras!

Yes! I agree with the bitter taste. That’s why I stopped using the Simple Micellar Water and used the Micellar wipes more. It’s more convenient and less work. Haha

True that but wipes, to me at least, are so cost inefficient. My trick is to use micellar water for all my face and a cleansing oil or butter for the lips. I usually wash my face after removing makeup anyway….

Yeah.. #lazyme hahaha but the micellar water really did take me forever to finish which is great!
