Marie Beauty Eye Cream (False Eyelash Adhesive) Review

[UPDATED REVIEW]

Marie Beauty Eye Cream is, I am guessing, named so because it is often used as adhesive to create double eyelids for women with mono eyelids. It is basically cosmetic adhesive and probably one of the cheapest ones available. I tried looking for the company info to no avail.

The product.

It appears translucent milky white (ahem) and dries down clear.

It appears translucent milky white (ahem) and dries down clear.

Description: It is an eyelash adhesive that comes with a brush tip applicator. It appears white and slightly translucent but dries clear. May appear to be a different colour due to its slight translucency. I have also seen the adhesive in black which would be good for individual false eyelashes.

Price: Anywhere between MYR 6 to MYR11 depending on where you buy it.

Where to buy: They’re usually available in costume jewellery, accessories shops and beauty supply stores.

Pros:

It is a strong eyelash adhesive. Unless your falsies are extremely unwieldy, they are not going anywhere with this eyelash adhesive.

It dries almost invisible so one could use it with clear band eyelashes without eyeliner to hide the band.

The brush tip applicator is extremely useful in applying a thin layer of glue to the eyelash band.

It is very affordable.

Cons:

It dries out very quickly so extra care needs to be taken to not leave the bottle opened for a prolonged period of time.

It is so strong that this eyelash can rip your own eyelash when removing false eyelashes. So caution needs to be exercised when detaching false eyelashes especially if too much of the glue is in contact with a person’s natural eyelashes.

It is very difficult to remove from your eyelid (and eyelashes).

Rating:

7.3/10

They’re cheap and they get the job done pretty well, both of which are great in my books!

    • Hey there Jane! Thanks for dropping by and leaving me a comment. The thing about this adhesive is that it is typically used for creating a double eyelid on monolid eyes. You can watch the video that I’ll link below on how to do it. The plastic applicator is for that purpose. It isn’t really functional in terms of false eyelash application.

    • Actually, I think being in the tube is better for the longevity of the product. Opening and closing the tube and everytime the wand is stuffed back into the bottle, air is introduced and for that reason, it does dry up fast. I have yet to try Duo but most people seem to hate them.
