I have loved fashion since I was a teenager and it was kind of triggered after having watched how cool and colourful Bollywood and Tamil Indian cinema costumes were (and still are).
Until I was about 19 or 20, I wanted to study fashion design. In fact, even towards the end of my bachelor’s degree I still thought I’d quit the science field and run off to an art school to pursue fashion design.
It would have fed my soul.
Evidently that didn’t happen.
But I don’t want to let it go.
So here’s this little blog where I can actually do something with it.
I just sketched out a little something.
I want to do more of these.
Hopefully it will manifest into something real.
Hopefully…
it’s beautiful – I love the way you draw the silhouette

That’s the beauty of having various outlets – some interests can remain hobbies, others can become your livelihood. 🙂 Fashion is all around and inspiration can strike anywhere.

True! I wouldn’t say I am sore that fashion didn’t become my livelihood. But I do miss all the reading and sketching I used to be so engrossed and obsessed with!

Whoa, your sketch is really beautiful! Follow your dream to become a fashion designer. But don’t give up with your current job, dear. You spent a lot of time to get that title and becoming a science worker. Do not waste it. You can do both. I feel you struggle too. I’m an architect and I make makeup world as my mood booster when I was bored with my job. Make your passion in fashion as an escape from your hectic work life. I support you 🙂

Ah, you meant the knit stretch jersey with the embroidery and satin pleats would be hard to work in? I was actually wondering that might not work too but I wanted to do something comfortable which knit jersey is…. extremely! Also I thought I might use a double knit jersey with boning in the waist area.
