Lookbook #3; Halloween Makeup Collab with Big Is Compatible (Lakshmi Praba), My Beauty Memoir (Dhema Priya), Geetha Vijay (@geethavijaymakeup on Instagram) and Esther Kaur (@estherkaurmann on Instagram)

So a little back story, Lakshmi of Big is Compatible (blog link here) is blogger friend from the same hometown as I am and we’ve collaborated in the past (collab post link here). She introduced me to three other beautiful people all of whom have passion for makeup!

They are, Instagrammers, Geetha Vijay of @geethavijaymakeup and Esther Kaur of @estherkaurmann AND blogger Dhema Priya of My Beauty Memoir (link here).

Although based in KL (Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia) Geetha is originally from the same state as I am (Penang). Dhema and Esther live in Penang. We finally got a chance to meet up during the Deepavali holidays (Esther was the only one who couldn’t make it).

Lookbook #2; Fresh Face Spring/Summer Makeup Look for Men Collab With BeautybyElyse and LauraBruj

I have always rolled my eyes at Malaysian beauty bloggers/YouTubers/Instagrammers who use the tag spring/summer because we don’t really have changing of the seasons here in Malaysia but I am giving myself a leeway because this happens to be a collaboration!

This is a collaboration with the gorgeous Laura Bruj of LauraBruj (blog link here) and the beautiful Elyse of BeautybyElyse (blog link here).

Laura’s post; https://laurabruj.com/2016/04/27/summer-in-malaysia-makeup-look/

Elyse’s post; https://beautybyelyse.net/2016/05/01/spring-makeup-look-2/

They are two amazing bloggers from the USA!

Ok, here in Malaysia it is perpetually summer! We Malaysians have an inside joke that we now have several seasons too; haze, monsoon, dengue and the durian season! Hahaha! In any case, this look is full-proof for either men or women! Yes, you ladies can rock this too! All you have to do is go heavier on the liner, mascara and lipstick with a touch of blush.

Here’s my look!

Lookbook #1

I want to explore this aspect of being a beauty blogger; posting makeup looks. I don’t want to just post repeating looks, I want there to be a variety. So, for my first ever lookbook post, I shall share what I did for a recent stage performance that needed a gory face. Not realistic though, just an on-stage interpretation.

You can view this on my Instagram page (link on the blog sidebar).

Products used;

Sephora foundation

IMG_4285Elianto Loose Powder

The product.

Silkygirl Liner

I used this to draw on the messy liner and also some streaks of black lines down my forehead, face and around my lips.

The liner

Maybelline Lipstick

I used to smear my face, forehead and around my lips and also on my lips (lipstick review here).

Very well loved; a third of it has been used.

Elianto Eyeshadow

I used some dark brown eyshadows and black eyeshadows to sort of smear the red lipstick and the black liner together (review here).

My eyeshadow selections. Weird selections huh?

Essence Lipstain

This was a product regret that I thought I’d put to some kind of use. I used this to kind of make it look like blood for that wet affect and that dried up blood affect. Fittingly, it was from Essence’s Vampire’s Love collection (product regret post here).

The product.

Hope you liked this post!
