Essence Matt Bronzing Powder Review

I have made it pretty clear that I love Essence as a brand and this particular product is another hit for me. It is the Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder and I have the shade 02 (Sunny).

Yes, the product has imprints (raised prints actually) of two women seemingly either modelling, dancing or posing, however you choose to view it. You can see that I have dug through the middle, attesting to my love for it.

Description: It is a matt bronzing powder, plain and simple. There are two shades and the one featured is for deeper skin tones. There’s a total of 15g (0.52 oz) of product and the product smells like some kind of a coconut dessert.

Where to buy: Watsons and Mydin.

Price: MYR 14.90 (I say this in all my reviews, it’s a drugstore item! Look out for discounts/promos!!!)

Swatches…

Now it is hardly noticeable except for a glow on my skin. The colour seems to have oxidised and somehow look warmer than initial swatch.

I used the bronzer here on my friend to give her face dimension and warmth.

I used the bronzer here on my friend around the perimeter of her face, to give her face dimension and warmth.

I have some on me here but it somehow just blends into my skin. Every time I use this bronzer, people say, "you look glowy huh..." I am guessing that's a compliment :P

Pros:

A matt bronzer is always appreciated to use for a guy so that’s pro for me.

It lasts a good 4 hours.

It blends out easily.

Deep, tanned skin friendly.

Although matt, the bronzer has some kind of glow to it giving the skin a healthy finish.

There’s a lot of product and that’s definitely appreciated.

It’s affordable!

Con:

The big pan is difficult to store or carry around; not travel friendly.

The coconut scent can be a source of discomfort for people who do not like that scent.

It is a very warm toned bronzer so it may appear orange on people with very fair or cool toned skin shades (even the lighter shade).

An amazing product I can’t get enough of!
