As claimed it does peel off which means it is easy to remove. However, there is a little gentle rubbing needed to remove it. It doesn't exactly just melt off.

With Vaseline for the oil test. It does stay put but a little rubbing does move the product a little which isn't too bad.

Liner used with this makeup.

Description: It is a liquid eyeliner with a brush applicator that dries down to a matte finish. Among the colours that I could see were, black, blue and brown. They also come in a box of two, one black and one coloured (buy 1 get 1 free). The one in this review is LM01 (all black). IN2IT claims that the liner has a peel off formula that is easy to remove.

Price: MYR 15.90 (the price is subject to in-store discounts and offers).

Where to buy: All major drugstores; Watsons, Guardian, and even Sasa.

Pros:

Long wearing (but I don’t have oily eyelids so this should be taken into account).

Does not come off with sweating (because I danced and perspired with it).

The thin brush applicator allows for detailed work.

Very cost efficient!

Hasn’t irritated my eye upon application and prolonged wear (I don’t have sensitive eyes and this ought to be taken into consideration as well).

Cons:

Because it can be easily removed, rubbing your eyes will cause the liner to flake off and fallout.

The formula doesn’t dry very fast and thus can be tricky for beginners (more so because it is a liquid liner).

Ratings:

7.5/10

I personally LOVE this product because it is very cost efficient and drugstore brands like this are constantly going on sale. In addition to that, this liner works well with my dance makeup because it does not melt when I perspire. However, I didn’t give it a higher score because, since it does have an easy-to-remove formula, rubbing your eyes with this eyeliner on is going result in fallout and missing gaps in your eyeliner. The other reason for not giving it a higher score was because liquid eyeliners aren’t usually very user friendly and especially if it has a very wet formula that doesn’t dry fast. So, make your choice! One of these two outcomes may happen; it will be MYR 15 that you’ll never get back or a discovery of a holy grail product.

Product Regrets #4

I wasn’t joking when I said I have more than one product regret on my list! This next product was a good deal in terms of price. Original price MYR 59, I bought it on sale for MYR 11.80. That should have been the first warning! I bought it from SHINS and I could not find an online website for the brand except the SHINS website. With that being said, I have NO idea what the brand entails but I do trust SHINS and they do sell authentic Real Techniques brushes.

Let’s move on to some pictures of the product first shall we?

Packaging. Comes in a box, how nice.

What’s good about it:

The dual tip is handy. It is very black and application is smooth.

Why I didn’t like it:

It is NOT waterproof!!! I’ll prove it in pictures below. Even when it is removed, it leaves a stain that is IMPOSSIBLE to remove! There are also specs of glitter in the liner which I do not like.

Elianto Absolutely Resistance Eyeliner Pen Review

I have reviewed Elianto products in the past here and here so I shall not get into the brand itself. Today, it is about their liquid eyeliner; a felt tip one from Elianto to be specific called the Absolutely Resistance Eyeliner Pen. Liquid eyeliner is a Indian dancer’s staple. I have been on the hunt for a felt tip liner that is waterproof and cheap for a very long time. So let’s see how this particular one works.

Moving along, PICTURES!

The liner. It is felt tip and in black.

Description:

It is a felt tip liquid liner in black (01 twilight black). It isn’t a matte finish liner but it isn’t shiny or metallic either. The felt tip is quite sharp and allows for a nice thin line (swatches below). It claims to be long wearing but does not claim to be waterproof.

Price: MYR 35.90 (I bought it for less than MYR 10 during a promotion).

Where to buy: Elianto stores nationwide and at http://www.elianto.biz/

I have some swatch pictures.

The liner can be drawn as thick or as thin as you would want to.

It can be drawn as thick or as thin as you would want to. It doesn’t move with rubbing once dried.

Water test; it does not melt with water so one could sweat wearing this. I can attest to this because I used it on a friend (picture inserted below) and she performed on stage with no problem with the liner.

I used my finger to smudge the liner with water and it does come off.

I hope the picture is clear enough to see that it is possible to get a nice fine line.

My friend. I hope the picture is clear enough to see that it is possible to get a nice fine line with the liner.

Pros:

Long wearing.

Does not melt off with sweating (mentioned in the picture caption with the water test).

The felt tip pen is easy to control and apply.

The thin tip allows precise application.

If bought with promotion, it is extremely cost efficient! 1.2 ml is about 0.04 fl. oz which is approximately the amount typically present in pen liquid liners. Felt tip liners aren’t the cheapest thing to purchase so this is definitely a plus.

Hasn’t irritated my eyes upon application or during wear.

Cons:

The tip of the felt can dry out during application making it skip a little when applying. Skipping is when a liner drags on the eyelid resulting in gaps in the liner. This can be remedied by pressing down the liner on the back of the hand to allow product to flow out a little before continuing application.

I prefer a matte finish liner so this is a con for me.

The tip of the felt can get a little fuzzy thus making application a tiny bit problematic.

7.6/10

Felt tip liquid liners are more beginner friendly compared to the ones with the wand. This one in particular is a pretty good one if you want to get into makeup but do not want to spend too much on a felt tip liner. However, I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a holy grail product for me.

Avon (Simply Pretty) Metallic Liquid Eyeliner Review

Avon is one of those companies which everyone in Malaysia, who use any kind of makeup, know. The company has been a long standing fixture in the beauty industry, founded over a century ago when door-to-door salesman David H. McConnell decided to sell perfumes under the name California Perfume Company. Good trivia huh. Moving on, this review is about the Metallic Liquid Eyeliner which is part of the Avon, Simply Pretty line.

Description on the other side of the bottle. Pretty obvious that the bottle is empty. It’s a clear bottle and so it is obvious when product runs out.

The applicator is a felt tip one.

The applicator is a felt tip one.

Description: It is a liquid eyeliner with a felt tip applicator. The liquid product itself dries down to a matte finish, however, the words ‘metallic’ and the word ‘shiny’ comes from specks of glitter present in the liner. There is only one shade available and that is the shade ‘shiny black’. It is not waterproof and does not claim to be.

Price: MYR 15.90 however, Avon always has promotions and so the price could come down until MYR 10 per bottle.

Where to buy: Avon boutiques or distributors.

Here are some swatches.

Although not apparent, the thin line is not very precise and it skips because the felt tip is not very fine.

There are a few things I would like to share about this eyeliner that I have personally experienced. The metallic and shiny attributes of the liner does not show unless pat down a little bit. The pictures below will show you what I mean.

No flash.

As you can see the liner appears completely matte.

Now see what happens when I lightly pat it with my ring finger.

A few pats and boom, it is shiny!!!

Two other things that one should know about this liner is, since it is not waterproof it smudges both with water and oil as you will see below.

I rubbed a little of oil from my forehead on my ring finger and lightly rub it on the swatch (excuse me if that's gross :D ).

Rubbed with a slightly damp finger.

Rubbed with a slightly damp finger (with water ok!!! Not saliva!!! 😛 ).

Pros:

It is a deep coal black liquid eyeliner that is very opaque.

The metallic shine is gorgeous on the eyes.

Cons:

Although it is not waterproof it smudges easily because if one has even slightly oily lids or even the slightest dampness around the eyes, the liner would smudge and run. I remember the first time I used it for one of my performances, looking at myself in the dressing room mirror after the performance, I had a black streak of liner all the way from my eyes to my chin. A streak of sweat from my forehead had melted the eyeliner!

The felt tip is not fine and thus it is difficult to deal with. Not beginner friendly.

It does not dry quickly.

I don’t have sensitive eyes, however, every time I did use this liner my eyes would be slightly irritated and tear up upon initial application.

I really did not enjoy this liner, however, if you do not have oily eyelids and would not be sweating or crying (or if your sweat does not run near your eyeliner) then this is a very pretty liquid eyeliner with a sparkly metallic finish.
