IN2IT Line Define (Matte Liquid Eyeliner) Review

[UPDATED REVIEW]

IN2IT is a cosmetic brand registered under Hong Kong based Asia Pacific Cosmetics Corporation but the products are developed in Southeast Asia using technology from Germany and Japan. The products are affordable and pretty widespread in Malaysia.

As claimed it does peel off which means it is easy to remove. However, there is a little gentle rubbing needed to remove it. It doesn't exactly just melt off.

With Vaseline for the oil test. It does stay put but a little rubbing does move the product a little which isn't too bad.

Liner used with this makeup.

Description: It is a liquid eyeliner with a brush applicator that dries down to a matte finish. Among the colours that I could see were, black, blue and brown. They also come in a box of two, one black and one coloured (buy 1 get 1 free). The one in this review is LM01 (all black). IN2IT claims that the liner has a peel off formula that is easy to remove.

Price: MYR 15.90 (the price is subject to in-store discounts and offers).

Where to buy: All major drugstores; Watsons, Guardian, and even Sasa.

Pros:

Long wearing (but I don’t have oily eyelids so this should be taken into account).

Does not come off with sweating (because I danced and perspired with it).

The thin brush applicator allows for detailed work.

Very cost efficient!

Hasn’t irritated my eye upon application and prolonged wear (I don’t have sensitive eyes and this ought to be taken into consideration as well).

Cons:

Because it can be easily removed, rubbing your eyes will cause the liner to flake off and fallout.

The formula doesn’t dry very fast and thus can be tricky for beginners (more so because it is a liquid liner).

Ratings:

7.5/10

I personally LOVE this product because it is very cost efficient and drugstore brands like this are constantly going on sale. In addition to that, this liner works well with my dance makeup because it does not melt when I perspire. However, I didn’t give it a higher score because, since it does have an easy-to-remove formula, rubbing your eyes with this eyeliner on is going result in fallout and missing gaps in your eyeliner. The other reason for not giving it a higher score was because liquid eyeliners aren’t usually very user friendly and especially if it has a very wet formula that doesn’t dry fast. So, make your choice! One of these two outcomes may happen; it will be MYR 15 that you’ll never get back or a discovery of a holy grail product.

Product Empties #15

Jpeg

Jpeg

This is the famous Biore pore pack and boy oh boy is it satisfying to use! I don’t have visible black heads and so this isn’t something I need. But just using it and peeling it off is strangely therapeutic. I just wanted to see if I had all that problems on my nose to remove, which I had very little of. Won’t be purchasing this again.

Jpeg

I have a confession to make. As much as I love using face masks, I have never really felt a big difference after using one except being rejuvenated and refreshed. I don’t want to be an unappreciative asshole because this was a gift, but more than feeling refreshed and rejuvenated I didn’t really see a difference with my facial skin after using this.

Jpeg

Give this brand a try I say! Probably one of the best drugstore facial cleansers I have used in a while for its price. It’s MYR 12.90!!! This one in particular has dissolving micro-beads in it. I won’t be repurchasing this one but there’s another I am currently using which I will.

x-default

I have reviewed this (post link here).

Jpeg

I actually liked this brow pencil from Etude House but I dropped it and I’m guessing the product inside broke. Every time I sharpened it, the nib kept breaking off. I whittled it down until I couldn’t sharpen it anymore. Don’t think I will be repurchasing this.

Jpeg

Gone….. ALL gone! See why I don’t like sharpening makeup pencils!!!

Essence Lip Liner Review

(Initially I intended to just reblog but I see more use reverting it to draft, improving the post and then publishing it as a new one.)

[UPDATED REVIEW]

Essence is a company based in Germany that produces quality products at VERY affordable prices! And among their best products and definitely the most affordable ones are their lipliners (I am OBVIOUSLY giving it a high rating).

So pretty!!!

So pretty!!!

The shade names. Obviously I don't have all the available shades.

Ooooo, so pretty!!!

Ooooo, so pretty!!!

And here come the swatches.

Jpeg

Description; A standard lipliner pencil.

Price; MYR 7.30 (I usually say wait for a discount but at MYR 7.30, come on!).

Where to buy; Watsons and Mydin

Pros;

Very nicely pigmented.

Very opaque so it will even out hyper-pigmentation on the lips. Both lips will turn out the same colour with this lipliner (if applied all over the lips)!

Glides on smoothly without tugging on the lips.

Does not feather.

Leaves a stain on the lips even after it wears out.

Does not dry out the lips.

Lightweight on the lips so you’d feel like you’re hardly wearing anything.

The price is a huge plus point!

No strong odour or taste.

Cons;

It is not very long lasting.

It isn’t smudge-proof or budge-proof (meaning; it will fade away with eating and licking your lips).

Double con here is that it is a pencil so it needs to be sharpened  and sharpening is tricky since it is so creamy.

Note:

These are very very creamy and that may be something not everyone enjoys. I do know the preference for a drier formula that perhaps lasts longer.

It is a pain to sharpen; can be worked around by placing the pen in the freezer for about 10 minutes…

Rating: 9/10

It’s a preference thing! I love that these are as creamy as they are. Love ’em!

Product Regret #10

I’ll admit, I only bought this because it was marked down from MYR 16.90 to just MYR 9.90.

Pretty black and opaque

What I like about it:

Very black and opaque.

What I didn’t like:

Right from when I opened it there were several strands of the brush tip frayed; I had to snip it just to swatch.

The brush isn’t fine enough for a sharp winged liner.

It has a shiny finish and I HATE that.

Shiny finish, eugh....

Shiny finish, eugh….

It is sticky even when dried so even if you have slightly hooded eyelids like I do, your liner would transfer onto the eyelids.

It dries fast but stays sticky.

Speaking of transferring, it does even after it dries! That to me is the crappiest kind of liner ever!

I only but touched it after it dried and it transferred. You can actually see the patch missing.

Product Regret #8

Two negative posts in a row… 😦 I realised I had this post set up and ready to go before the last one but pushed it forward because I wanted to post the previous, Cathy Doll post up first (link here).

So Silkygirl is perhaps one of the very first mainstream makeup brands in Malaysia that launched a liquid to matte, liquid lipstick. And when it first came out everyone when nuts! And so far I have seen and heard very little complaints about it. However, when I decided to put it to the test I was sorely, SORELY, disappointed…

img_8586

The product.

Initially swatched.

Initially swatched.

When completely dried down. Gorgeous, true red colour! Absolutely beautiful!

When completely dried down. Gorgeous, true red colour! Absolutely beautiful!

So, as you can see, it’s a gorgeous shade of red and it dries down to a complete matte finish. See, here’s the problem, one coat is not opaque enough to cover the difference in pigmentation of my upper lip and my lower lip. However, it is a complete mess when it is layered. The second coat makes the first layer move around and then it bunches up and crumbles off. When it was worn on the lips, within the first half hour, there was so much product missing from the inner part of the lips. I did try it with my favourite lipliner but when the lipliner wears off so does the product, so it isn’t so much the lipstick but the lipliner that works.Of course this may just be this particular shade…

Sigh…. That’s MYR 18.80 I’m never getting back!!! 😦

Product Regret #7

Ok, so there’s this brand called Cathy Doll in Guardian in Malaysia and I have been curious of one thing. Their Ice Cream Magic Blender makeup sponge. If you have not used a sponge to blend your makeup you are missing out because it gives your makeup the most amazing and flawless finish!

Moving on, here’s the product.

Jpeg

Jpeg

Looks pretty cool right? And it is really soft too.

Now, what I assumed is that it needs to be dampened. But here’s what happened when dampened.

Jpeg

If you can’t already tell the sponge is completely out of shape. And this is after me positioning it for a few minutes to snap the shot!

See here’s what happens when it is dampened. It looses it’s bounciness! Completely! You can squish it down and it holds its shape for a good 10 to 15 seconds! A sponge shouldn’t do that because it then completely looses its ability to push and spread product on the skin. And although it is soft even before being dampened, it cannot actually do much in its dry state. I paid MYR 20.30 for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT’S A LOT FOR A CHEAPSKATE LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I love buying makeup, I have come to realise, if I am not using something up, it seems like a complete waste of resources. And I am also looking into getting more high end makeup.

That doesn’t mean I am going to stop buying! Hahaha!!! 😛 😛 😛

I am just being a little more calculative when buying makeup nowadays.

Which is why this collective haul isn’t like I used to do it.

It is significantly smaller!
