Product Empties #15

This is the famous Biore pore pack and boy oh boy is it satisfying to use! I don’t have visible black heads and so this isn’t something I need. But just using it and peeling it off is strangely therapeutic. I just wanted to see if I had all that problems on my nose to remove, which I had very little of. Won’t be purchasing this again.

I have a confession to make. As much as I love using face masks, I have never really felt a big difference after using one except being rejuvenated and refreshed. I don’t want to be an unappreciative asshole because this was a gift, but more than feeling refreshed and rejuvenated I didn’t really see a difference with my facial skin after using this.

Give this brand a try I say! Probably one of the best drugstore facial cleansers I have used in a while for its price. It’s MYR 12.90!!! This one in particular has dissolving micro-beads in it. I won’t be repurchasing this one but there’s another I am currently using which I will.

I have reviewed this (post link here).

I actually liked this brow pencil from Etude House but I dropped it and I’m guessing the product inside broke. Every time I sharpened it, the nib kept breaking off. I whittled it down until I couldn’t sharpen it anymore. Don’t think I will be repurchasing this.

Gone….. ALL gone! See why I don’t like sharpening makeup pencils!!!

2016 Collective Product Empties

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you the best for the year! Let’s all be FIERCE!!!

Two quick announcements.

I want to let you guys know I am going to dabble a teeny tiny bit with fashion on FiercePaint. This won’t be something I do regularly hence the term “dabble”.

I want to make 2017 a NO BUY year. That means, unless I run out of something that I use regularly like skincare stuff I WON’T BUY anything cosmetics in 2017!!! I am putting aside MYR 100 each month which I will collect end of this year and either splurge or put to a good cause. There is one exception, I want a BeautyBlender which I will get during the Sephora 20% off sale.

Moving on…

  • I posted a total of 6 Product Empties, 5 of which had 5 products each. One empties post was done after a period of hiatus and so had 18 products! That makes a total of 43 products! Three more than my 2015 collective empties post (link here). Keep in mind that I don’t mention products I’ve previously featured and also duplicates.
  • I featured 14 full sized makeup products excluding lipbalms and makeup removers. WOAH!
  • There were 2 lipbalms and 2 makeup removers.
  • I also spent a makeup sponge and featured facial cottons, a pack of falsies, a bottle of sponge cleanser, a bottle (and half) of fine fragrance mist, aerosol antiperspirant spray and underarm antiperspirant (7 products).
  • The rest were skincare which made up 18 products.
  • This time around it’s interesting that these products centered around makeup.

Here’s a list of all the product empties post last year;

I am hoping for great things in 2017!

Product Empties #13 (18 products)

It’s been a while since my last product empties and needless to say it has piled up, 18 products high!!!

MAKEUP! (One product is missing but I’ll be sure to insert it).

I bought this box of 8 pairs of false lashes and put it to good use on my co-stars during a stage play. They were cheap ones but I have forgotten the price. At most 2 to 3 uses then the band sort of starts pulling apart when I tried to take off excess glue. The band is thick and unwielding. Definitely not good falsies but they are thick and give the eyes a dramatic effect. Definitely not repurchasing this one.

How the lashes look.

How the lashes look.

Eye open…

This is the I ❤ Stage Eyeshadow Base from the brand Essence. I have reviewed it in the past. I plan on updating the post and re-blogging it but meanwhile read about it here! I have already repurchased this.

This is an eyeliner that I bought from Daiso after watching a YouTube video but I didn’t really like it. I just used it to scribble on my hand with all those hand art stuff that I do and also draw on a moustache for a fellow stage actor. I find that it is not as smooth on the eyelids and tugs on the skin. Not repurchasing it (costs MyR 5.30).

This is the Silkygirl Perfect Stay 20HR Eyeliner. I have reviewed it before (link here) and in fact, it has shown up in another product empties post (link here) but the one in this picture was their limited edition packaging that I got for the fun of it. Purchased it at MYR 10. Don’t plan on repurchasing just because I do have other eyeliners to try out.

This is a lip balm from the brand Bell Star which I bought from my trip to Thailand (trip post here and haul post here). It was an ok lip balm, didn’t really do anything phenomenal for my lips nor was it all that bad. Even if I could I don’t think I’d repurchase this.

This is the Muji facial cottons, a cult classic in the beauty world. This is said to be a dupe for the Shiseido facial cottons. I do plan on reviewing it but at the moment, lets just say that I love it. It costs MYR 10.90 here in Malaysia. Yes, I have backups!

There’s one product which is not in the picture because I had tossed it away not knowing that I hadn’t put it into an empties post.

This is the Elianto Activewear Mascara which I have reviewed before so thank God I have a picture of it (review link here). I wouldn’t repurchase it because I have got at least 3 different unopened mascaras and one I am still working on.

Moving on to the two big products…

This is the Bath and Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist in Wild Madgascar Vanilla. It was given to me by my director as a token of appreciation for starring in his play. I freaking love this scent! Sweet vanilla scent, a lot like some scented lip products and some of you may know that I happen to love this (little things in makeup I love post). Yes, I have repurchased it (for MYR 38; original price MYR 73).

This was from the first haul I ever posted on FiercePaint (link here), I used it once and I hated it because it has an intense warming effect on the skin perhaps due to the fact that it claims to sculpt the body. However, when I started trying to loose weight, I just used by mixing it with my regular body shampoo. I still hated it and I have no idea if it actually “sculpted” my body. Not repurchasing it at the moment but I am very curious if continued usage may help. Hmmmppphhh. Cost; MYR 13.30.

Moving on to the rest of the bunch.

This is a hand cream from the brand Eubos that was in one of my haul posts (link here) and I just could not get over how oily my hands felt everytime I used it, however, I found better use for it! I used it on my feet! Oh boy did it work wonders! Try it! I may just repurchase it for the feet exclusively (price; MYR 7.90 for a trial size)!

This is the Biore Facial Foam in Pure Mild. It’s ok. Not great, not bad, not going to re-purchase. Costs MYR 10.80.

This is the Ponybrown Happy Sense Baby Whip hand cream. I’ve used up one before (product empties post link here). I like it because they absorb well into the skin and does not feel sticky. I do prefer the previous one but this is nice too. I won’t repurchase this because I do want to try others (cost MYR 19.90 for 3).

I got this Dettol Gold body wash trial pack from a dear friend, Daniel (hi love!!!). He purchased something else and got this for free, so he gave it to me. There appears to be gold flakes in it which, I am pretty sure, for a product this cheap cannot be real gold flakes. It was alright. Body feels clean. Thumbs up! May just purchase the full bottle if it isn’t too pricey.

This is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner. This was featured in one of my haul post (link here). This burned my skin! But since it was a 60 ml bottle I powered through and finished it. Surprisingly didn’t dry my skin out and my skin did stay blemish free! I would repurchase but I simply cannot stand the burning sensation (original price MYR 13.70, purchased for MYR 6.85).

This is the Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser. This was featured in a haul post (link here) and I’ve used another in the white tube (product empties post link here). I kinda love this stuff. Plan on purchasing the full bottle when there’s a promotion (costs MYR 2.90).

I pulled this picture from my archives because I forgot to shoot a close up picture! Damn it!!! Anyways, I featured this in a Products I Stopped Using post (link here) and also a hack post (link here). Click those two links to see how I ended up finishing this. Not repurchasing. Costs MYR 11.50, purchased for MYR 9.80.

I got this sample from Facial Malaysia (website link here and Facebook page link here). Nana, the person that runs Facial Malaysia is the nicest person ever! She sent me some skincare products from Paula’s Choice to try out for an honest review exchange and I absolutely loved them (review link here). This one was good too! It worked well and my skin did alright considering that I am very prone to razor burns because I don’t shave unless necessary (I typically trim my beard). If you need more information do check out the Facebook page and the website.

This is the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask which I won from Fiona of Street Love (the most read Malaysia beauty blog! Blog link here). I featured the product in a I Won post (link here). This nice rejuvenating mask revived my tired skin which was suffering from heavy makeup application. About repurchasing, I don’t think I would, only because it is so expensive here!

Phew!!! That was A LOT! Thanks for being with me guys!

Lots of love!

*air kisses*

Product Empties #11

Previous product empties of 2016 (#9, #10).

The first three items have all been reviewed in one single post (link here).

This is the Paula’s Choice for Men SPF cream. I don’t think I would be repurchasing it only because I have loads more products to try out.

This is the Paula’s Choice for Men Face Wash. I do want to repurchase it but I am in the process of using up some other facial cleansers so I am waiting to finishing them up before I repurchase this.

This is the Paula’s Choice for Men leave on exfoliant. Much like the face wash I do want to repurchase which I will when I send an order for the face wash.

Do read my post, linked above to to find out what I think about the PC4Men skincare range.

I got this in a clearance sale by a local drugstore which was featured in one of my haul post (link here). Price details are there. I used this as a night routine, smearing it liberally on my face before I went to bed. It definitely made my skin bouncier and moisturised! I probably wouldn’t repurchase this because it is rather pricey for a drugstore brand.

I have already reviewed this felt tip liquid liner pen from Elianto, so details are in that post (link here). If there was a promotion I would definitely repurchase this!

Products Empties #10

This is a first. All makeup items this time around (I’m considering makeup remover as makeup too 😛 )!

This is the Maybelline Clean Express Miracle Water. I have already reviewed it (post here). I wouldn’t repurchase this because I do prefer my Biore Cleansing Water.

This is a liquid to matte lipstick from Elianto which I put into a Product Regret post (here). This shade in that range, I absolutely hated but I did love another shade because the formulation was somewhat different. The product isn’t finished but it has kinda dried out, so, bye. Of course I ain’t purchasing this, it made my regrets post for God’s sake!

5 months is as long as a sample size mascara can stretch I guess. I did review this over at LuxePaint (post here). I wouldn’t repurchase this only because I do have many more mascaras to go through.

This is called an eye cream because it is used for sticking double eyelid tape. It can also be used as false eyelash adhesive. I have already reviewed this (post here). It has actually dried out so, adios! I did actually repurchase this because it is very affordable.

This is the Elianto loose powder. I have reviewed this (post here). I used a lot of this up for my stage acting performance. It is finally done. I need a loose powder but I don’t know if I am going to purchase this one in particular.

So I finally announced my giveaway winner over at Facebook and the winner is Hani Baharom.

Hani is actually a beauty blogger as well. Her blog is called State of Grace. Link here.

Product Empties #9

This is a face mask I got from the beauty box that I featured in my recent haul post (link here) by BFF – Asia Beauty and Style. I was pleasantly surprised after having used this because my face felt immediately bouncy and hydrated! I know nothing of the brand or where I can buy it from, so if anyone does, especially which stores in Malaysia I can buy it from, it’ll be greatly appreciated!

I think I first saw this on Tati’s (GlamLifeGuru) channel and I wanted to get a full sized one but I never did see a promotion good enough to want to buy it. So when I saw these trial sized ones I picked it up. It was featured in one of my previous haul post (link here). Prices and where I bought it is all there. I love it. Your skin immediately feels softer and it has a pleasant scent.

This is the Elianto liquid lipstick which I have already reviewed; details in that post (link here). I didn’t realise I had finished it but the other day I wanted to swatch it to see the consistency against another liquid lipstick and realised I could see right through the tube. I did use it many times for the stage play I was involved with and I guess I used it up.

This is the Lipice lip balm in the apple flavour. I have reviewed this already; all details there (link here).

This is the Essence Longlasting eye pencil. I have reviewed this as well; all details in that post (link here).

Product Empties #8

Previous product empties post (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7).

IMG_4661I featured this in one of my collective hauls (here). At the end of the first tube, my pores weren’t noticeably minimised and since I don’t have much of a blackheads problem, it was obsolete for that as well. However, one thing happened, my skin dried out if I don’t follow through with a hydrating moisturiser after using this cleanser. Price, MYR 13.90 and I’m definitely not re-purchasing this.

IMG_4651This is a concealer from the brand uptownvisions. This concealer is orange enough on my skin to cancel out dark circles that when I set it with powder my under eye circles magically disappear (picture attached below). The problem is this brand has been discontinued and when I purchased it, this concealer was only under MYR 15! I don’t know what I’m going to do when this completely runs out! 😥

11326218_1147373268610283_1800800920_nCheck out the difference between the left side of my face and the right side!

IMG_4656I got this Cetaphil moisturiser deluxe sample as a giveaway and I used it only once. It leaves an oily feel on the skin and I had to blot my face with at least 5 facial blotters to get that oily feeling off. Definitely staying away from this one but the cleanser was nice though.

IMG_4659Guardian is a chain of drugstores in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei and Cambodia and this Pony Brown hand cream is an in-house brand. It was a nice little hand cream that helped with my dry hands. It has quite a strong scent when initially applied but the scent does not linger around. I purchased it with some cash vouchers (via promotions) and featured in my collective haul (here). Price; MYR 19.90 for a set of three and I do have two more scents waiting to be used.

IMG_4652These are facial blotters that I received in a prize set I got for entering a competition. The competition was to use our hand as a canvas to create a makeup look (I’ll attach a picture below of my entry). I know nothing about this brand or how much it costs but they were standard facial blotters which got the job done.

CompletedYes, those are false lashes I cut up and stuck on in sections.

Product Empties #6

Past product empties links; #1, #2, #3, #4, #5.

IMG_4336I featured this perfume in my Collective Haul (link here). Perfume generics inspired by CK One. After using this I want to actually get the original! Price in haul post.

IMG_4329This is the Etude House Winter Proof cheeks patch. That should have been my warning right there. My skin has become a little more dry over the years that I don’t really get an oily face by the end of the day anymore, however, after using this, my skin became oily for a whole day! I guess it would have made more sense to have actually used it in the winter as the name suggest. 😛 Original price MYR 14, purchased for MYR 3. I will not be repurchasing this!

IMG_4334The Bioderma cleansing water was featured in my past haul post along with the CK One inspired generic perfume. It was provided by MuffinBeauty (link here) for review purposes. MuffinBeauty is a Malaysia’s biggest online beauty community and Beauty Club members can redeem various beauty items to review. However, this product is pretty expensive (here in Malaysia at least) so until I have provisions for such an expensive cleansing water I doubt I would purchase this.

IMG_4333This is a product everyone knows; the Vaseline petroleum jelly. This is actually the tiny tub (50g) and I do have the large one already. Love this as a lip treatment because it helps in exfoliation. Price (50g) MYR 4.80.

IMG_4335I featured another flavour of this Etude House hand cream in my Product Empties #4 and I prefer that over this. This one felt a little more greasy on the hands and this is no surprise because there is a description on the tube that reads, “Rich Butter Hand Cream”. Original price MYR 23 and purchased for MYR 10. Will repurchase the other one and some other flavours when Etude House discounts come along.

Product Empties #3

Third product empties already? Anyway I would like to mention that my product empties wouldn’t feature repeats. This time around there is one hair product and I guess it would fall in the category of beauty products too. 😀

IMG_1668This is a hand cream and yes, like the name says, it has actual snail extract in it! However, it didn’t smell bad, in fact, it was actually pleasant. This is the Snail Hand Cream from a Korean brand called 3W Clinic. It is moisturising, it absorbs pretty well into the skin, it does not feel sticky or oily and it helped reduce flakiness on my hand skin. The problem is, I got this as a gift for entering a makeup contest by Colours Cosmetics Malaysia and I really don’t know how to purchase this besides the website. If there’s a store in Malaysia that sells this then I am not aware of it. Repurchase? Perhaps not.

IMG_1670This is the Silkygirl Lash Prism mascara. It is a favourite of mine and has been for quite a while. I did a review on it here. It is cheap, it does well (as long as excess product is removed from the wand before application), and it is very easily found because Silkygirl counters are everywhere here in Malaysia! Repurchase? I actually stocked on this during a promotion. I already have 2 unopened ones!

IMG_1676A leave-in hair moisturiser called the Sunsilk Instant Damage Reconstruction Cream. It’s ok and I do feel that my hair becomes softer and a tad bit stronger (but I do have pretty thick hair so maybe it’s all in my head?). However, it did feel sticky in my hair. Hair felt best after a wash. Would I re-purchase? Probably if there was a discount or promotion (it retails for MYR 8.90).

IMG_1690I used to love occasional ‘me’ time and I used to buy sheet masks and store them in the refrigerator before using them while relaxing over a cup of tea. Somehow that made a comeback into my routine a few days ago after a couple of years due to this face mask. Like the Snail Hand Cream this was a gift for joining the makeup contest (yes, I got a few good stuff via that contest from Colours Cosmetics Malaysia). It is the Montagne Jeunesse trial size face mask and this in particular is the Dead Sea Mud Pac mask. It is a product from the UK and they have recently (in 2015) changed the brand name to 7th Heaven. I was kinda surprised after having used this. My face felt incredibly smooth to the touch after washing it off! It contains kelp, seaweed and nutrient rich mineral from the dead sea (how about that!). Don’t be alarmed, it actually smells really good! They do have a website (link here) and in Malaysia, it could be purchased from Colours Cosmetics Malaysia. I have one more called Strawberry Souffle to try and I’ll write about it in a future product empties post.

IMG_1697This is the Chu Lip lip balm. I have done a first impressions post here and a review on it here. It is amazing not just because it looks cute but because it worked really well on my dry lips! If you did read the review then you’d know I already have another one waiting! It retails for MYR 25.90 at Watsons and Guardian but do look out for discounts which can bring the price down to as low as MYR 17.00.

Product Empties #2

Why I do product empties and include more than just makeup is all detailed in my first product empties post which you can read about here. I previously just took the picture collectively but this time around I have decided to take each picture individually as well to attach beside each description.

This is the package in which the smaller bottle came in as a free gift.

This is the package in which the smaller bottle came in as a free gift.

1; This is the Silkygirl Gentle Eye & Lip Makeup Remover. There are 2 bottles, a small one and a larger one. The smaller one isn’t one that can be purchased unless it came in the double product package in the picture to the left which costs MYR 13.80. The other larger bottle is actually the smaller one (55ml) for sale and retails for MYR 7.90. The larger bottle for retail contains 110 ml of product and retails for MYR 16.90 (not shown in picture). It is a bilayer makeup remover with oil and water which needs to be shaken before use. It is a pretty good makeup remover since makeup like waterproof eyeliner and matte liquid lipsticks need some kind of an oil based makeup remover to remove them. I am definitely going to repurchase this but only the smaller one and do a review on it in the future.

IMG_0780 2; This is the Biore Perfect Cleansing Water which I have previously reviewed here. I love this makeup remover and I also use it as a cleanser if I am in a rush to cleanse my face. It does not strip my face of moisture and does not leave a sticky feeling on my skin. Definitely going to repurchase this! Caution, it tastes very bitter so beware of it getting around your mouth/lips and God forbid you should lick your lips then!

IMG_07903; This is The Body Shop, Indian Night Jasmine body lotion. This smells simply amazing! The scent is pretty strong that it would smell like I am using perfume although it isn’t long lasting. The sticker on the bottle can be removed easily and the bottle can be reused because the cover is a screw cap and it is a squeeze bottle. I actually got this as a giveaway but the price tag shows that it retails for MYR 21.90. I want to repurchase this but I can’t seem to find the small bottle.

IMG_07814; This is the uptownvisions pressed powder in Tender Brown. I purchased it at Guardian quite a while ago and I don’t remember exactly how much it cost me but I think it was under MYR 15. It is probably one of the best pressed powder I have ever used and I would compare it to my high end pressed powder foundations. However, I have tried and tried to look for it and it is no more available here. I can’t even find it online! No website, no nothing! 😦 There is still a little bit of product left and I love using it as a setting powder to set my foundation and eye primer. I even mix it in with a darker greyish brown powder and use it as a cheek contour on my friends with lighter complexion (of course I’d use this only if it was a favour and I don’t get paid for helping someone with their makeup but if I was getting paid, I would use my more expensive products).

IMG_07785; This is the Jordana Oil-Free Liquid Foundation that I reviewed here. It is an ok foundation for me and I do mix it with other foundations to bring down the orange-ish tint that it has when it oxidises on my face. I am not going to repurchase this because I would like to try out other drugstore liquid foundations. There is one last portion left in it for a full face but hey, it’s basically empty.
