Ride or Die Makeup Tag

I was tagged by the beautiful Lakshmi Praba of Big is Compatible (blog link here). We are from the same hometown which is so amazing and not only is she a fellow blogger but has, of late, become a fast close friend who I can speak to about anything and everything that fuels our passion, especially MAKEUP!!! Do check her out!!!

Anyway, I do have a disclaimer to make. As much as I pride my techniques, I am not a product junkie to say the least. So, as much as I can work out products that I initially try out and use, I haven’t tried out too many product to come up with a ride or die makeup list for every type of makeup product. I do, however, have 5 products that I swear by and 4 of these I have repurchased!

I’ll just randomly name them.

Wet N Wild Megalast Lip Color in E914C Mocha-licious

I bought this in Thailand and featured it in a post (link here). I have been looking for this everywhere here in Malaysia! It is the perfect nude for me!

I bought this in Thailand and reviewed it (link here). This was the only product I haven’t repurchased because it isn’t readily available here.

Ooofff, it is straight up brown with pink undertones.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

I swear by this product and if it does not work for you I feel so SO sorry (review link here)!!!

Silkygirl Expert Brow Slim Liner in 02 Dark Brown

This is a recent favourite which I have tested to positive results (review link here). I recently picked another hyped affordable product from Sephora and was surprised that this held up better than that!

Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara

This is cheap and works! Enough said! I reviewed it already (link here) and there’s even a YouTuber comparing it to a high end product.

The product.

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara

This is a tinted gel mascara and although I have yet to compare it to its obviously high end counterpart, I love this product! I have reviewed already (link here).

YES! I got a new background!!!

My next post is a product empties post (and it’s massive!!).

And after that are pictures updated posts!

And I will catch up with all of you guys very soon!

Have a great day!

Rexona Motion Sense Antiperspirant.

I am a sweaty sweaty man! This helps! It is an antiperspirant spray so the scent doesn’t last long but it does help with my sweating. I usually buy them in twin packs and I’ll usually look out for a discount. It costs about MYR 13.50 but the twin pack can go down to about MYR 18. Definitely will repurchase this because it’s perhaps the most affordable one at the drugstore and I like the scent.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

My single best discovery of 2015! Needless to say I have repurchased this. I have also reviewed this (link here).

Nivea Men Invisible Antiperspirant

If I have a long day, I do both (the aforementioned spray and this one)! I love this stuff too! I initially tried it out because it is the invisible type and sure enough it doesn’t stain and it does indeed help with the perspiration. Again, this comes in a twin pack which I have purchased for about MYR 16. So look out for discounts!

IN2IT Line Definte Matte Liquid Eyeliner

I don’t particularly declutter my makeup collection regularly but I do like arranging them nicely and found this lying around all dried up so I decided get rid of it. One of the more affordable liquid liners that I like using. I have reviewed and also repurchased it (review link here).

Elizavecca Milk Piggy Black Head Solution (nose strip)

First of all, Korean beauty brands kill it with their packaging! This worked amazing for me! I actually saw the blackheads and all the gross stuff from my nose! I got this from Althea which is an online K-beauty company available in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines. Their services in terms of shipping and customer relations are very professional and I recently was given an opportunity to shop on Althea in conjunction with their first birthday.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray Review

I always thought I’d keep FiercePaint exclusively to drugstore products and use LuxePaint (sibling blog of FiercePaint; link here) instead for the higher end products. However, I post very sporadically on LuxePaint and so FiercePaint will now feature high end products as well! *insert kids “yeay” sound*

Setting sprays are typically used as a finisher to lock makeup into place and sometime to give the face a more natural look by reducing the powdery appearance of having layered products.

This is the Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray.

Description: It is a clear liquid that dries down on the face to lock makeup into place. Kind of like what hairspray is to hairstyling. It is contained in a spray bottle to allow proper application. Comes in 30 ml (1 fluid ounce) for the travel size and 118 ml (4 fluid ounces) for the full sized bottle. I have the travel size one in this post.

Where to buy: Sephora Malaysia (online and stores).

Price: MYR 55 (30ml), MYR 125 (118ml)

I used the spray on my face in this makeup look of mine (post link here) and it would typically last me 4 to 5 hours before showing signs of fading. Even when it starts fading my makeup would still look good.

Pros:

Easy to use.

Doesn’t have a strong scent.

Effective (I used it once for almost 12 hours, I danced and sweat and was surprised to see my under eye makeup still in place!!!).

Does not feel uncomfortable on the face (although you may initially feel the face tightening slightly as the spray dries).

Dries pretty fast for a flawless matte finish (gives dry skin a more skin-like look as well).

Sensitive skin friendly.

Cons:

Pricey (this is going to be a con of every high end product).

Upon initial spraying, makeup may slightly melt (can be remedied by spraying lesser and letting that dry before going in for more).

Rating:

9.5/10

Despite the obvious con (to a cheapo like me), I will ABSOLUTELY repurchase this over and over and over again! My single most favourite makeup discovery of 2015! I love love LOVE this!
