Elianto Brilliant Riche Lip Colour (06, Wild) Review

I wrote a product regret post of this exact product in a different shade (here) but that’s the beauty of makeup, different shades from a line of makeup may either work brilliantly or not at all! This is the matte liquid lipstick range from Elianto called the Brilliant Riche Lip Colour. They do come in several other shades and evidently some more successful than others (for me). This is the more successful one (for me at least).

It comes with a regular doe-foot applicator. The product isn't very runny or very thick. It has a liquid concealer kind of consistency.

I also did some hand swatches.

It dries completely matte but it does have very fine gold iridescence that does not show up until you press your lips together.

I hope the difference can be seen. The glitter adds just a beautiful tinge of sparkle on a matte red colour.

Description: It is a liquid lipstick that dries to a matte finish. It is devoid of taste and scent, although, if sniffed closely, would smell a little chemically. The smell is neither overpowering nor does it linger. It is a gorgeous red colour with fine gold sparkles which adds iridescence.

Price: MYR 31.90 (not factoring in discounts and promotions).

Where to buy: Elianto stores nationwide and at http://www.elianto.biz/

Pros:

It is opaque and pigmented.

Long wearing.

It is budge proof and smudge proof, unless you’re eating oily food.

Comfortable on the lips.

The gold iridescence is absolutely gorgeous.

Cons:

Although comfortable on the lips, it does dry my lips out.

Liquid lipsticks are generally not easy to work with it so it has to be applied carefully because one could make a mess trying to correct a mistake i.e. not beginner friendly.

Lips need to be properly exfoliated because it tends to pick up on dry patches on the lips.

Will fade with eating especially oily food.

It’s funny how one shade doesn’t work out and another does within the same line of products. In any case the colour is gorgeous. I did wear it for a recent stage play that required me to wear makeup and it was absolutely gorgeous!
