Haul; Thailand Trip Mini Haul (#7)

So, I went on a trip to Thailand representing the university, specifically my school (faculty) to Ubon Ratchathani University. I was among 4 others chosen (it was an all paid trip; SCORE!). We were to attend their annual Agriculture Fair and engage in information exchange, regarding both academia structure and cultural practices. We were even asked to prepare a brief cultural performance.

Just a little background information, Ubon Ratchathani is a northeastern province in Thailand. It is also the eastern most province of Thailand, bordering Laos and Cambodia.

We were taken sightseeing and also visited a shopping mall. I only bought three products in the course of the four days there so this is smaller than a mini haul. It is a teeny tiny haul.

One from Boots, one from Watsons, and one from the Don Muang Airport (domestic flight area not the duty free shopping area).

Watsons

I haven't seen this cosmetic brand here and decided to grab this lip balm. The salesgirl (unlike condescending sales people here in Malaysia) was so nice to me. And because they spoke so little English, I had to try and try to ask them for a local makeup brand I can try out. They had none there. Only skincare (which was rather pricey).

The lip balm. It is apparently a Japanese brand.

Se even gave me a booklet about the brand and its products but alas, they were all in Thai.

I jumped for joy when I saw Boots at the shopping mall we went to. They had brands I have only ever heard of YouTubers and beauty gurus talk about, like No.7 and Seventeen. However, I wasn’t pressed to purchase anything. Price tags seemed to be quite heavy. So I bought this Boots brand lipbalm instead! Price; 64.50 baht, approximately MYR 7.50.

Airport shop.

One of the places we visited. Wat Phra That Nong Bua; a Buddhist temple. It was so beautiful and amazing! The highlight of this place is Sri Maha Pho Chedi of gleaming gold and white chedi which loosely resembles the Mahabodhi stupa in Bodhgaya, India.
