This post was inspired by stashmatters (blog link here). Stashy, as she calls herself is an amazing beauty blogger and stashmatters happens to be one of my favourite blogs to read (Hi Stashy!!! *waves frantically*). She wrote about all the products she finished in 2015; her Trash Stash as she calles it (post link here), so I decided to do my version of that. 🙂
Stats;
- I have done a total of 8 Product Empties post (I usually post when I have 5 empty products), which means I have used up 40 beauty products! Wow… I am dude you know! And this is excluding repeated products. 😮
- If lip balms and makeup removers are not counted, I have used 8 makeup products; all full sized.
- I have also used up 4 lip balms, 4 hand creams and 5 makeup removers.
- The most I have used are skin care products; a total of 13.
- There have also been 3 perfumes, 2 miscellaneous stuff (a pack of each facial cottons and facial blotters) and one hair care product (I don’t want to share my everyday use shampoos and conditioners, just extra stuff like this leave in hair conditioner and perhaps hair masks).
And here’s a list of all the Product Empties posts;
How cool is this! How many products did you use up last year?
Wow thats some amazing number of product empties..nice..👍

Woohoo, I’m glad you did this too!
HI Harivain!!! *waves back frantically*
I think it’s impressive you used up TWO perfumes! I really need to tackle that myself. I don’t have a lot of perfumes but I seem to take a LONG time to go through them (I wear everything very lightly, just 1 spritz usually).
Good job on capturing your empties for the year. Looking forward to seeing what TRASH 2016 holds! 😉 😛

I think mine were Eau de Toillettes so they aren’t so strong and I love spritzing a lot of it on me! 😛 Like a LOT! And I don’t use many different perfumes at a time. If I am trying something out I usually just keep using it until it’s empty… I do think women’s perfume is stronger anyway.
I can’t wait for Trash 2016 too!

I just started following Stash Matters! This is very interesting, did you find it liberating, self-reflecting, alarming, or combination?

Owh, Stashy writes well and her content is always so diverse and interesting! I didn’t feel much of any of the above. It does feel like I have an account of everything I’ve finished using and I can always refer to this post to see what I’d like to re-purchase or not…

I practically bath myself in perfume. The drugstore EDTs don’t last long and they aren’t too strong either so hey! I spritz it like its water! 😛 😛 😛

Hahaha! I feel like a lot of people from hot countries do this. My dad did and my DH did (actually, his whole family), until my mom and I begged them to be lighter-handed. We all live in cooler climates now, and it doesn’t seem to be done here, for some reason! I’ve never noticed loads of perfume on people when I’m IN hot countries, though – it must just work really well with the weather! True that some EDTs don’t last well, though – not just drugstore 🙂
